Finding Companies to Barter.

October 6th, 2009 · No Comments

Where can business owners find companies to barter? Turn to your own account payable/receivables vendor lists. These vendors are already familiar with your needs and expectations. You are an established client and they wish to keep your business. Other potential barter opportunity…Your customers.

Barter is a lot like networking. When you need something, you think of whom do you know that can help you out. It’s similar with barter. When your company needs some roof repairs done, look at your customers to see if anyone in the roofing business would be interested in bartering with you for your products or services. Since you already have an established level of trust with this vendor or customer, a great foundation is laid for barter.

Often times, when looking for a vendor to barter with, people overlook the obvious…your current contacts. Don’t assume that they do or don’t barter…ASK!
